Dellner Dampers has developed buffers already since 2008 and improved their products during the last decades. We can offer different solutions for Light Rail Vehicles (LRV), Tram-Trains, Metro and Multiple Unit (MU). Our knowledge and experience has given us a significant position on the market for Crash Energy Management (CEM). Obstacle deflector buffer
A cowcatcher, also known as a pilot, is the device mounted at the front of rolling stock to deflect obstacles on the track that might otherwise damage or derail it or the train. The obstacle deflector device is often connected with two buffers to absorb energy in case of a crash. Most modern rail vehicles must have cowcatchers with a snow plough function and rail guards. Dellner can offer the buffers to a clients specification or design.
